Republicans side with Obama again

I am terrified for the safety and well-being of my children and grandchildren on the East Coast based on what happened this week in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

The Republican majority in the Foreign Relations Committee under Sen. Corker gave up the ability to veto President Obama’s insane nuclear deal with Iran. They capitulated to the Democrat minority for some strange reason. They surrendered the constitutional authority to ratify treaties with a two-thirds vote in the Senate, and instead said only a 51-vote majority in the Senate needs to approve of Obama’s idiotic treaty with our mortal enemies.

Moreover, thanks to Sen. Corker’s foolishness, in the unlikely event the Senate disapproves of the treaty and Obama vetoes their bill, the Senate will need 67 votes to override his veto.

As Sen. Ron Johnson sadly noted, “If [Obama] can convince 34 senators to support a really bad deal, then it goes through. There’s nothing we can do.”

What are these guys drinking, Obama’s Kool-Aid?

The Iranians have already developed rockets which launched satellites into space and are well on their way to developing ICBMs. Plus, Russia, China, and the North Koreans are selling them rockets and technology to assist them in their plan to nuke the Great Satan (us) and the Little Satan (Israel). The Russians just announced they are trading the most advanced surface to air missile in exchange for crude oil This will guarantee the deaths of our and Israel’s brave airmen if we have to take out any of their nuclear facilities.

Iran is a state sponsor of terror around the globe. We know you cannot negotiate with terrorists, yet our president is doing it in an effort to get us all killed. God only knows where he and his kids plan on being while the rest of us are being fried in a nuclear exchange.

First the Senate Republicans caved on the budget, next they caved on illegal immigration, and now they have sided with Obama on arming the Iranians with nuclear weapons. This is a great example of institutional tyranny. —Norman W. Johnson, Polson
