POST FALLS — A fugitive was negotiated from a Post Falls home Wednesday night after a report of a man who barricaded himself inside and was possibly was armed and had a hostage, according to Post Falls Police.
Fugitive Jared Fausett surrendered without further incident from the residence in the 2500 block of Bradley Drive after a SWAT team arrived and negotiated with him.
Fausett and Melanie Moralez were arrested for outstanding warrants.
The multi-agency North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force received a tip that Fausett was at the residence.
Police and task force members attempted to call Fausett out of the house.
After there was no response, police received information from inside the house that Fausett was there and barricaded in the bathroom with a woman that he was holding against her will, according to police.
A SWAT team was then called out and convinced the homeowner that it was in his best interest to call Fausett and convince him to come out, which he did, according to police.
