Press promotes Becky Lee
Bill Izzard, production manager of the Coeur d'Alene Press, has promoted Becky Lee to director of advertising design.
Lee started with The Press in 1978 and most recently was the company's creative design leader. She was born and raised in Coeur d'Alene and joined The Press immediately after graduating from Coeur d'Alene High School. Over the years, Lee has received numerous graphic design awards and has long been respected for her kind nature and leadership by example, Izzard said.
"Becky has a great combination of creativity, natural design ability, speed and leadership that makes her perfect for this position," Izzard said. "In our world of publishing for newspapers, magazines and the Web, there is always another project on top of the 10 we're currently on, usually with an earlier deadline. Becky always jumps in to help and get projects done, and done right.
"Becky also works with our other designers to remove any obstacles for the design group, which touches hundreds of ads a day. And she does that, working with both the advertising staff and their customers, to always achieve 'Great ads that work.'"
Lee lives in Post Falls with her husband, Marti Lee. They have three grown children: Jake and his wife Melia, Jacqualin and Cody. The Lees also have two grandchildren - Justyn and Harli - with another one due in May.
