Once again Sholeh Patrick reveals her ignorance (“Sharia, Islam far from uniform” April 14), regarding false religions which hold many souls captive; this time it’s Islam. Once again she condemns Idaho lawmakers, this time for rightfully rejecting inclusions of Sharia law into our Constitution. Again she makes no pleas for her case other than proclaiming herself to be the watchdog for human rights as she mocks the noble and heroic efforts of a few lawmakers to reject a false religion’s influence on our lawmaking processes. In her article she refers to the use of violence by a few Islamic terrorists (Muslims) as the exception and not the rule. The fact that she believes most Muslims are peaceful does not alter the truth that the Islamic religion, as instituted by Mohammed its founder, requires the conquest of all unbelievers through use of force and violence.

The intent of my exposition is not to encourage the hatred of Muslims individually, but to present the revelations of Mohammed as put forth in the Koran, the scriptures of the Muslims, which Mohammed claimed having been revealed to him. There are 109 passages in the Koran which call Muslims to make war with nonbelievers. Mohammed did not actually write the Koran, he did however, dictate its contents. The Koran is arranged in ‘suras.’ According to the Islamic religion, unbelievers in Islam should be considered an infidel or an unbeliever. With this in mind let us determine whether or not Islam is a religion of peace or not.

According to the Koran, sura 9, verse 123, Allah orders the faithful (the Muslims) to fight the unbelievers, “and slay them wherever ye catch them” (2:191). The buzz in the media and the implied belief of Patrick is that these acts of violence are isolated and are unrelated to the Muslim religion as a whole. Here is a quote to support the contrary “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.” (8:12). In Ms. Patrick’s view, the peaceful Muslims she speaks of, would have to therefore deny that Mohammed is the founder of their religion, which to my knowledge has never been nor will ever be the case.

The definition of Jihad as derived from the Dictionary of Islam is “a religious war with those who are unbelievers in the mission of Muhammad. Therefore, it is incumbent upon all Muslims, established in the Qur’an and in the Traditions as a divine institution, to purposely advance Islam and repel evil from Muslims.” So the peaceful Muslims that she (Sholeh) speaks of are lacking in their religious duties. The sole purpose then of not allowing Sharia law is more than just not adopting Islamic laws into Idaho’s Constitution, it’s an effort to repel the evils of Islam into our Constitution.

Christians believe that Christ is God and in God there are Three Persons, the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost. Muslims deny the Son and Holy Ghost as being God thus fabricating their own false god of Allah. As she (Patrick) correctly admits, Muslims refer to Christ as simply a prophet or messenger and deny His (Our Lord’s) divinity entirely. Islam is the enemy of Christianity inspired by Satan. Perhaps that’s why we are witnessing the current slaughter worldwide.

Ms. Patrick in her Pollyannaish view of the Muslim religion inspires naiveté and furthers this false peaceful Muslim message in our own state of Idaho. The acceptance of Sharia law is only the frosting on the cake, if we do not understand this threat we will contribute to our own demise.

In her (Sholeh’s) wishful yet dangerous thinking and misunderstanding, she seems to exhibit a desire for her own fame in being the advocate and champion of human rights in our state. I fail to see the human rights relationship in the murder and exterminations of innocent peoples. Perhaps she is hoping to win a Nobel peace prize at the expense of gory, mindless and horrific slaughtering of Christians and others worldwide.

Blaming all on extremism seems to be her illogical approach to the worlds ills. She mistakenly claims that billions of Muslims have lived peacefully for hundreds of years. Apparently she is ignoring historical facts to the contrary; the slaughter of Christians at the hands of Muslims inflicted during the Middle ages which Holy Mother Church (the Roman Catholic Church) tried to repel during the Crusades.
