I want to thank Sholeh Patrick for her enlightening column sharing the facts about Sharia and Islam. Unfortunately, we live in a time when fear of the different or unknown dictates decision-making, even at the highest levels and regardless of the cost.

The article did a masterful job of eloquently but firmly demonstrating how capricious and baseless some of the these decisions really can be. Religion is an extremely delicate subject for most and the tone of Sholeh’s article informed without offending, and corrected without inflaming. Fear breeds ignorance. Ignorance and fear are the cornerstone of hate and hate has no place in our society. Sholeh, I admire your courage and your class.
