Williams, Glacier blank Hellgate in AA softball

MISSOULA — Ali Williams followed her no-hit effort in the circle on Thursday versus Flathead by holding Missoula Hellgate to three singles and a double in an 8-0 Western AA softball victory on Friday.
Williams, a junior pitcher, struck out 12 batters in going the distance.
Glacier tallied three runs in the first and sixth innings and scored twice in the fourth.
Mackenzie Brester-Knight and Alivia Atlee both went 2 for 3 for Glacier.
Atlee doubled and drove in a run. Brester-Knight was credited with two RBIs along with Christine Connolly and Christina DuFour.
Glacier (8-1 overall, 6-1 league) plays a nonconference doubleheader today at Butte.
