Silent no more: Standing with the editor

OK, after 10 years of reading Frank Miele’s column and silently agreeing with nearly everything he has said in his political columns, and reading with dismay, and some disbelief, the liberal rebuttals to his comments, I have decided to state my own support and belief in his attempt to inform the public of the perils in which our nation stands.

I hold no degrees. I served in the Army for three years in the 1960s with no particular distinction. I am a 71-year-old Christian, albeit a very carnal one. I have never considered myself a radical in any sense, but in today’s society, I probably am. So, in that case, I am not going to mince words.

I grew up in a nation that was great, not perfect, but the people had ethics and morals and a belief in themselves and their nation! We could do things, and did great things. We put a man on the moon, although in this age, that may be questioned. Private industry was allowed to pursue and create innovative projects without blatant government interference. The populace had a modicum of freedom that was not questioned. All of this was possible because we were a nation of Christian principles.

Was it perfect? NO, but it was better than any other nation on Earth. Frank Miele’s editorial column is one of the few bright spots in American newspaper journalism today. The comments, rebuttals and inane input from the liberal portion of, may I say, “our now morally polluted and corrupted society” are really quite scary! These people have their heads so firmly implanted in their own nether areas that they have no hope of seeing the actual reality of the demise of our country.

Our education system is now a joke! College students that have no idea regarding the what, when, why, or who of the Civil War! No knowledge of the World Wars, or Vietnam. We now have a totally liberal education system that dismisses God and most of the values that once made this nation great.

I could go on at great length with my tirade, my despite, with no apology, against liberalism and the destruction it represents. I am an old American that has seen and experienced this nation at its finest, and am dearly saddened to see it in such decline!
