Organizers of a Lincoln County High School all-school reunion planned in July will kick off their reunion year with an Arbor Day celebration Friday, April 24, at a new park in Eureka.

The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation has donated a 9-foot Colorado blue spruce tree that will be planted at 4 p.m. by Eureka scouts. Miles Plemmons, an Eagle Scout who constructed the new LCHS Memorial Park, will lead the tree-planting ceremony. The park is located on the Eureka school grounds at 340 Ninth St. E.

Eureka Mayor Lee Ann Schermerhorn will present an Arbor Day proclamation from the Eureka City Council.

The LCHS Super Reunion is planned July 17-19 at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds. All classes, family members and friends of alumni are invited. Among the activities will be a dedication of the new LCHS Memorial Park, with a memorial ceremony planned 7 p.m. Friday, July 17. The Eureka VFW Post 6786 will present the colors.

Other reunion activities include a barbecue picnic, a dance featuring the Mason Stone Band and breakfast by the Lions Den Booster Club.

Reunion organizers will have a booth set up at the Historic Village in Eureka on Saturday, April 25, during the Eureka Rendezvous. Alumni are welcome to stop by and register for the Super Reunion.

For more information or to register for the reunion, contact Debora Standley LaRose at 756-7795.
