POST FALLS - JoAnn Hildebrant loves showing compassion to others. Now friends want to show that to her.

A spaghetti feed and auction fundraiser to assist Hildebrant with medical bills generated by treatment for germ cell cancer will be held on Saturday at the Post Falls Senior Center, 1215 E. Third Ave., from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

"The cost for treating this kind of cancer far exceeds insurance coverage," said Jerry Lyon, president, CEO and chief credit officer for Community 1st Bank, where Hildebrant has worked the past several years.

Hildebrant has worked at multiple local grocery stores, banks and the Department of Motor Vehicles.

"She's always been community-centered and interested in the needs of others," Lyon said.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $5 at the door. There will be silent and live auctions and raffles. Ryan Davis, executive director of the Boys and Girls Club of Kootenai County, will be the auctioneer. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5.

Kelly Hughes will provide music during the event.

A benefit account in Hildebrant's name has been created at Community 1st Bank locations in Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene.
