Getts' tennis streak continues

Emily Getts continued her winning streak in girls tennis last week. On April 14, she swept her Class AA opponents, dropping Shelby Odell of Glacier, 6-1, 6-2 and Jenna Jensen of Flathead, 6-3, 6-4 at a dual at Flathead Valley Community College. On April 17, she beat Dillon’s Adrianne Southam 6-3, 6-4 in Polson.
Hailey Sapa had a good week in singles for the Wildkats. She beat Lauren McCarter of Flathead, 4-6, 6-2, 10-2 and Tessa Sawyer of Dillon, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
As a team, the Kats lost to Glacier 6-1 but beat the Bravettes 6-2. Against Dillon, the Kats were edged 4-3.
The Wildcats continue to get better, but are still finding wins elusive. They lost to Flathead 7-0, Glacier 6-0 and Dillon 7-0.
The teams travel to Libby this Thursday.

Experts forecast flooding by area rivers and streams
With continued cold weather, the potential for flooding by area rivers and streams has increased, the National Weather Service warned last week.
Search suspended for missing skiers
The search in Grand Teton National Park for two men with ties in the Flathead has been suspended because of inclement weather. The men are believed to be lost in an avalanche.
