Lady Hawks have busy week

FLORENCE–The Thompson Falls Lady Hawks softball team went on the road this weekend traveling to Florence to face off against the Falcons for a doubleheader.
In game one of the double dip the Florence offense proved too much for Thompson Falls and the home team carried the game by a score of 16-1.
The Lady Hawks run came by way of a solo shot from junior Tamara Brubaker, who hit her home run in the top half of fourth inning.
Florence’s offense proved just as formidable in the second game of the day.
The Falcons took the nightcap by a score of 16-0.
Sophomore Kelsey Bonney doubled and was 1-3 at the plate in the second game for Thompson Falls.
The Lady Hawks also competed in a doubleheader against the Ronan Maidens over the weekend.
The games, at Thompson Falls went in favor of Ronan, with the Maidens taking game one 15-1 and game two by a score of 14-0.
In game one the Lady Hawks scored their run in the bottom of the sixth when freshmen Lexi Van Elswyk drove in the team’s lone run.
Madi Fitchett went 2-3 from the plate with a double in game one.
Up next for the Lady Hawks will be a road match up against another squad from Sanders County, the Plains-Hot Springs Trotters.
The game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21.
