SANDPOINT — A Priest Lake landowner accused of sex trafficking in North Dakota is pleading guilty to a reduced charge.

Michael Thomas Sackett is scheduled to be sentenced in Bismarck on Aug. 24, U.S. District Court records show. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

A plea agreement in the case holds that federal prosecutors will recommend a custodial sentence that falls within applicable guidelines, but does not specify how long the period of incarceration will be.
