Warriors of Hope changes meeting site
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 10 years, 8 months AGO
"An Evening of Hope," the community Warriors of Hope cancer group, is changing its meeting date and location.
The group will no longer be meeting on the first Sunday of every month at Heart of the City Church. Instead, it will now meet the first Thursday of every month from 6-7:30 p.m. downstairs in the Coeur d'Alene Public Library, 702 E. Front Ave.
Group founder, local author and stage 4 lung cancer survivor Jim Morrison said the change is because of expansion and conflicting schedules, but "the group will continue to grow and encourage other warriors and their caregivers."
Beginning in October, the group will also meet the third Thursday of every month in the Post Falls Library, 821 N. Spokane St.
"Please mark your calendars for the new day and place," Morrison said. "You don't have to do this alone. If you have cancer, had cancer or are a caregiver, we invite you to join us."
The first meeting in the Coeur d'Alene library will be May 7. There is no cost or registration.
