Kalispell heroes honored in Congressional Record

Three Flathead High School students who saved an Inter Lake reporter from a house fire last week have been recognized as “outstanding” Montanans by Sen. Steve Daines. The inaugural award for “Montanan of the Week” went to Tanner Archuleta, Jacob Javorsky and Amanda Buxton — who recently helped save the occupants of a burning home on April 21. The students alerted first responders to the house fire and worked to awaken the building’s residents, including Daily Inter Lake reporter Ryan Murray.
