SPIRIT LAKE — St. Maries senior Logan Feasline was named the Male Athlete of the Meet at the Timberlake Invitational after winning the shot put and discus on Friday.

Feasline won with marks of 52 feet, 11 3/4 inches in the shot put and 173-1 in the discus.

Timberlake’s boys won the team title, beating Deer Park by 15 points.

Kaela Bass of Grangeville won the 100, 200, 400 and 800 to claim girls Athlete of the Meet. Deer Park won the girls team title.

Dodge shoots Timberwolves

to fifth place finish

SPOKANE — Emily Dodge shot an 88 to help guide the Timberwolves girls to a fifth place finish in the Big East Invitational at Wandermere Golf Course.

“Lake City had an incredible day,” Lake City coach Nichole Thiel said. “We’re just thrilled. It was a pretty impressive day.”

Emily Callahan shot an 82 for Coeur d’Alene, which finished sixth.

Gonzaga Prep won the tournament with a 247.

ST. MARIES — David Burnett and McKenzie Rose claimed medalist honors for the host Lumberjacks in the St. Maries Invitational at the St. Maries Public Golf Course.

Burnett shot a 6-over 76 for St. Maries, which finished third.

Austin Quant and Ermias Mularski each shot a 79, pacing Lake City.

Rose won with a 94 for the St. Maries girls.

Kellogg swept team titles.

“We withstood the elements, it was a colder day,” Lake City assistant coach Troy Anderson said. “It was new and a fun experience.”

POST FALLS — The shorthanded Trojans got big wins from Pete Gobin and Kaitlyn McLeod in a win against the Vikings.

“We were missing three kids due to a Choir competition, but the kids stepped up and played well,” Post Falls assistant coach Brady Tommerup said. “Pete stepped up and was really driving the ball all day. Kaitlyn made some adjustments and played really well. We’re definitely happy with the direction we’re heading now.”

Coeur d’Alene faces Lake City on Wednesday, with the boys at Coeur d’Alene and the girls at Lake City.

Post Falls hosts Lake City on Tuesday.
