A man told the Kalispell Police Department that someone asked him for money and then pulled a pistol on him, holding it to his neck. The suspect reportedly fled the scene at U.S. 93 North. After a search, the issue reportedly boiled down to a land dispute.
Televisions were being taken out of vacant rooms of a North Main Street hotel, according to a report.
Atypical contractor problems reportedly arose on Third Avenue East North. The resident said that the contractor accidentally drove a truck through the garage before swearing and leaving on foot. Officers responded to look for the man.
There was a report of a fake social media profile attempting to sell nude pictures.
A suspected drunken driver on Auction Road was just having mechanical problems with the vehicle.
The driver of a motorcycle fled the scene after tipping the vehicle on Woodland Avenue.
Somebody drove into a street light on South Main Street and First Street East and then drove off, according to one report.
A woman found another woman asleep with a child inside of a car belonging to the first woman’s son.
There was a shovel in the middle of Parkridge Drive and Stillwater Road. An officer removed the obstruction.
Somehow a black lab got onto the roof of a Veteran Drive home. A puzzled neighbor called the Columbia Falls Police Department, who found that the dog had found some way to move up and down from the roof. The dog’s owners were not home.
A passing motorist filed a report of two people on Mabel Street who “looked high.” An officer met the suspects and found nothing illegal.
Police investigated an alleged child assault on First Street West North. After talking with the child, it appeared that this was a “parenting matter that had been handled appropriately by the parents.”
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report of two “aggressive drivers” who were forcing others off Lutheran Camp Road.
A woman told deputies that her friends were involved in a scam. The friends apparently thought that they needed to raise $2,500 in order to claim a $1 million prize.
Someone contained a “wild” pig that got loose around School Addition Road. Later, a woman called claiming she had lost a pig. Some issues solve themselves.
A driver was reportedly flipped off by a passing motorist on U.S. 2, east of Kalispell.
A security guard said that he witnessed a jewelry heist but didn’t want to approach the suspect himself.
One dog died near Lake Five Road after its choke chain became tangled with another dog’s choke chain.
Some barking dogs at Saddle Loop were being encouraged by the owner’s baby talk, according to animal control.
A woman found her 62-year-old husband dead at a Montana 35 property.
After calling the health department, a woman asked the Sheriff’s Office to pick up a dead bat on Hathaway Lane so that it could “be tested.”
Some motorcycle riders were getting on the nerves of an Idaho Hill Road resident. He told dispatch that if authorities didn’t take care of the situation, then “someone in the neighborhood will.”
A dog reportedly bit a young girl in the face in a Montana 35 neighborhood.
A Young’s Lane resident wasn’t sure why someone rode up on a bike and then ran away, leaving the bike. He called the Sheriff’s Office to have them check it out.
A man called the Whitefish Police Department in search of his son, whom he hadn’t seen in three years. The man thought that his son was working for an area logging company.
An alleged retail thief returned to the scene of the crime, prompting an employee of the business to call police. The suspect was advised not to return to the East 13th Street property.
The manager of a rental car business kept seeing a car around town that should have been returned. Police contacted the driver, who said that it must have been a miscommunication.
It’s tough to imagine why a man was walking around East 13th Street, bleeding and wearing a torn shirt, but it made area workers uncomfortable. An officer was dispatched to check on the man.
