Marie Rose Streeter was born March 14, 1931, in Wallace, Idaho, to Joe and Lottie Grubich. She attended schools in Kingston.
Marie married Jack Streeter on Sept. 26, 1950. They made their home in Dalton Gardens. They had four sons: Jim, Terry, Jerry and Ron. Marie loved to work in her yard, taking care of her flowers and trying to keep the deer from eating them. She was a marvelous hostess and loved to have family gatherings at all of the holidays.
Over the years, Marie worked for Western Auto, Redmond's Thrift Grocery, and retired from Washington Water Power (Avista).
Marie was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Beta Sigma Phi and was a volunteer for many years at Kootenai Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her son, Jim; and brother, Joey.
Marie is survived by her sons, Terry (Barb), Jerry (Kelli) and Ron; daughter-in-law Leslie; grandchildren Jeremie, Derrick, Casey, Jackie, Rachel, Angie and Katie; great-grandchildren Matthew, Caleb, Valerie, Gage, Kyler, Kaeden, Kaylee, Marissa, Macee and Nash; sister Rose Wojohn and brother Stan Grubich; brother-in-law Bill Streeter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Sonja McDonald, Hospice of North Idaho and Coeur d'Alene Homes for their care of Marie.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1700 Pennsylvania Ave., Coeur d'Alene.
