POST FALLS - Tee off for local young athletes in need this Friday at the inaugural Kid Centric Sports Association Golf Tournament on the Links Golf Course in Post Falls.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Kid Centric Sports Association, a nonprofit fundraising organization that helps provide youths with competitive sports equipment, funds to cover activity fees, coaches, training, training material and scholarships for amateur athletes who need financial assistance.
"We think there are so many young people that need financial support when they are not able to participate in sports due to a lack of funds," said Tinka Schaffer, KCSA board president. "It is important because we need to help our youth in order to let them know that the community cares and it could be a fun time to spend together as family or with friends."
The golf event is $89 per person or $350 for a team of four. Prices include golf fees, a cart, dinner provided by Texas Roadhouse, goodie bags, practice and range balls and entry into several raffles. The event is open to all, youth included when accompanied by an adult.
Check in is at 11 a.m. with the event starting at noon. Hole sponsor opportunities available. The Links Golf Course is located at 10623 N. Chase Road, Post Falls.
