EPHRATA - Grant PUD contractor, Osmose Utilities Services, Inc., will begin inspecting and treating wood power poles in rural areas near Quincy, Royal City, Moses Lake and Warden this summer.

Grant PUD asks that property owners allow access to Osmose's trained personnel in order to complete the inspection and treatment of the poles. The workers will carry identification and credentials as they conduct the inspections and treatments.

According to PUD publicist Chuck Allen, the pole inspections and treatments are part of the routine work needed to ensure that Grant PUD continues to provide reliable and low-cost power to Grant County residents. The work is expected to continue into early fall.
