Center Target Sports hosts swap meet today
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 9 years, 11 months AGO
Center Target Sports in Post Falls is hosting its fourth annual Customer Appreciation Event and Swap Meet today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Last year the free event attracted more than 4,000 visitors and bolstered three local nonprofits: The Post Falls Food Bank, the Inland Northwest Blood Bank and Toys for Tots.
"This year promises to be bigger and better than last year," said Ed Santos, owner of Center Target with his wife, Peggy. "This year in addition to giving away five firearms and a wakeboard - along with hundreds of smaller prizes - we will have live music, free shooting, free food, free drinks, free seminars and demonstrations.
"Last year in five hours we collected 14,500 pounds of food, 89 units of blood and four totes of toys. We need to beat that this year as the community is in desperate need for these items."
Santos said that for every food item or toy, donors will receive a ticket for prize drawings.
If you're interested in donating blood, call 773-2331 now to make an appointment. Two bloodmobiles will be on site, and making an appointment now will prevent donors from having to wait.
