Authorities have arrested a Lakeside man for allegedly firing a gun at a woman’s house during an argument.

David Leith, 47, has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of drugs, both felonies.

A woman reported the incident on Aug. 3 to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. She said that she was arguing with Leith.

At one point, Leith allegedly took the woman’s Glock pistol and fired a single round through the window, according to court documents.

Leith then took two bottles of the woman’s prescription Loazepam, an anxiety drug, the documents allege.

Both the pills and the gun were found with Leith when deputies arrested him.

Leith faces up to 25 years in prison and $100,000 in fines for the two felonies. He’s being held in the Flathead County Detention Center on $50,000 bail.

Leith is set to be arraigned in Flathead County District Court on Aug. 13.
