A man died Saturday in an all-terrain-vehicle crash that also hospitalized his 8-year-old son.
Scott Lawrence Anderson, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry.
Curry said Anderson was from Polebridge.
Anderson and his son were riding north of Polebridge about five miles west of the North Fork Road. Curry said that the ATV left the roadway and hit a tree.
Anderson’s son was taken to North Valley Hospital with “non-life-threatening” injuries, according to Curry.
The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the crash.
Separately, the Montana Highway Patrol is investigating a Lincoln County crash that killed a 67-year-old man.
Authorities received a call at about 5:30 on Saturday about a single-car crash on Yaak River Road northwest of Troy.
Medical responders, including a life-support helicopter, arrived at the scene. They found a passenger, Libby resident Jon Douglas Reynolds, dead at the scene.
The injured driver was flown to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The Montana Highway Patrol says that the cause of the crash is still unknown and is under investigation.
