Big One Chinook Derby winners announced

The winner of this year's Big One Chinook Derby caught the largest salmon pulled from Lake Coeur d'Alene in 20 years.
Dave Palmer's first-place prize is $5,000. The second-place winner earned a $3,000 prize, and $1,000 goes to the third-place winner.
Palmer boated the 27.94-pound, 36-inch fish Friday, the third day of the five-day derby.
Hosted by the Lake Coeur d'Alene Anglers Association, the Big One Derby is in its 31st year.
Derby anglers reeled in 54 chinook this year. Total pounds: 952.33. Total feet-o-fish: 146.54.
The average pounds per fish: 17.636.
In 2014, more chinook were caught, but they were smaller. There were 86 chinook reeled in last year, and the average weight per fish was 14.76 pounds.
The top 10 final 2015 standings are:
* Dave Palmer, first place - 27.94 pounds, 36 inches.
* Bob Priebe, second place - 25.30 pounds, 37.5 inches.
* Bob Wynhoff, third place - 24.76 pounds, 36.25 inches.
* Andy Hartin, fourth place - 24.22 pounds, 35.75 inches.
* Jordan Smith, fifth place - 23.10 pounds, 37 inches.
* Shelly Brown, sixth place - 22.48 pounds, 34 inches.
* Dan Pierce, seventh place - 22.32 pounds, 34.75 inches.
* Bob Pinto, eighth place - 22.10 pounds, 34 inches.
* Dan Taylor, ninth place - 21.94 pounds, 35 inches.
* Raymond Mallory, 10th place - 21.70 pounds, 35 inches.
The top four fish will be on display in Coeur d'Alene at Black Sheep Sporting Goods, 3523 N. Government Way, through Saturday.
Top youth division winners:
* Tavin Wilhelm - 13.2 pounds, 30 inches.
* Eli Villa - 10.68 pounds, 31.5 inches.
* Buck Vanderkolk - 9.42 pounds, 29 inches.
* Ely Vanderkolk - 8.24 pounds, 26.5 inches.
* Tavin Wilhelm - 4.28 pounds, 21.75 inches.
* Alex Vedder - 2.88 pounds, 20 inches.
