Soccer jamboree

set for Wednesday

Lake City High will host a boys and girls soccer jamboree on Wednesday at the Irma Anderl Soccer Complex.

Each match will be one half and is varsity only starting at 2 p.m.

2 p.m. - Lake City vs. Sandpoint. 2:50 - Coeur d'Alene vs. Sandpoint. 3:40 - Lake City vs. Lakeland. 4:30 - Coeur d'Alene vs. Lakeland.

2 p.m. - Lake City vs. Sandpoint. 2:50 - Sandpoint vs. Coeur d'Alene. 3:40 - Lake City vs. Coeur d'Alene.

Bomar advances to

Champions Tour qualifier

Billy Bomar, co-owner of the Prairie Falls Golf Course, shot a 72 on Thursday in a Boeing Classic pre-qualifying tournament at Druids Glen Golf Course in Covington, Wash.

The low five players all earned spots to try and qualify on Monday in a Champions Tour qualifier, also at Druids Glen. The lower players from Monday will earn a spot into the Greater Seattle Classic, scheduled at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Club in Snoqualmie, Wash., Aug. 21-23.

Former NFL quarterback Mark Rypien shot a 79 to finish 23rd.
