Melvin and Eva Walker

70th Anniversary

Melvin and Eva (Ashley) Walker, of Juliaetta, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at the Greenbriar Inn, 315 E. Wallace Ave., Coeur d'Alene. Friends and family attended.

The couple's children and spouses are Steven and Betty Walker of Post Falls, Bill and Marilyn Willard of Garwood, Tom and Terry Walker of Hayden, Wesley and Stacy Walker of Eagle River, Ark., Judith Walker of Post Falls, Kelly and Teresa Walker of Tacoma, Wash., and Billy and Eileen Walker of Adrian.

The couple have 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Zander Michael Steele was born June 25, 2015, in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, at Kona Hospital to Whitney (Clerf) and Ezekiel "Zeke" Steele of Kailua-Kona. He weighed 5 pounds 13 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Linda and Pat Clerf of Ellensburg, Wash. Paternal grandparents are Zig and Harry Steele of Coeur d'Alene.
