Bomar ties for 14th in Champions Tour event qualifier
COVINGTON, Wash. - Prairie Falls Golf Course co-owner Billy Bomar finished in a tie for 14th out of 25 entrants in a Champions Tour event qualifier Monday at Druids Glen Golf Club.
Bomar shot a 4-over-par 76.
The low five players all earned spots in the Greater Seattle Classic, which is scheduled to run Thursday through Sunday at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge in Snoqualmie, Wash. John Inman led the way with a 65, followed by Steve Jones (67), Guy Boros (70), Peter Fowler (71) and Fran Quinn (72). Quinn won in a two-hole playoff with four other pros.
Last Thursday, Bomar finished second and was one of five to advance to Monday's qualifier from a pre-qualifier at Druids Glen.
Shock DE Ruffin named to All-Arena first team on defense
Defensive end James Ruffin, who logged double-digit sacks (11) for the second straight season with the Spokane Shock, was named to the first team All-Arena team on Monday.
