Great Northwest bike tour on tap soon in Newport

NEWPORT— The annual Great Northwest Fall Bike Tour is set for Sept. 6. It is a bike ride for everyone and is open to cyclists of all ages and levels.

You have a choice of 15, 30, 50 or 85-mile routes. Families are welcome and encouraged.

Check in is at Newport City Park beginning at 7 a.m. The 85-mile ride will begin at 8 a.m. and all others start at 9 a.m. The ride includes food/water stops along the routes and a delicious meal at the finish, which will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The ride will benefit the Newport/Priest River Rotary Club.

Registration is $35 with no shirt, $50 with shirt (add $2 for XXL and larger). After Aug. 30 add $10 late registration fee. The family rate is $75.
