Bank of America sponsors Cd'A Summer Theatre
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 11 years AGO
Nearly 150 children and their families were able to attend Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre's production of "Shrek the Musical" thanks to a sponsorship from Bank of America. The corporation donated more than $3,500 worth of tickets to local organizations such as the Children's Village, St. Vincent de Paul, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Union Gospel Mission, Tesh, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Anna Schindler Foundation, Boys and Girls Club and families of our local firefighters.
"It is so refreshing that Bank of America understands the significance of feeding the heart and souls of these children by exposing them to the performing arts," said Laura Little, executive director, Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre. "I can speak for myself, our staff and the actors in saying that we were over the moon knowing that these children were in the audience and that they laughed and smiled and forgot about their world when they entered into ours. I sincerely thank Bank of America for all they do for our community."
Bank of America has had a long-standing commitment to the arts and this sponsorship has allowed many youth in the community to see their first musical and professional production with top-tiered actors from around the nation and the inland Northwest. It has also given local youths the opportunity to 'meet' and take photos with characters Shrek, Princess Fiona and Donkey.
