Gary Lee Haymond, 77, of Hayden, Idaho, died Aug. 18, 2015. Gary was born April 3, 1938 in Santa Barbara, Calif. to Dwight and Betty Haymond. He graduated from Ventura High School,
Ventura, Calif. in 1956. He worked as electrical contractor for 40 years and retired to work on his passion - classic cars. His best and favorite final car is a 1954 Chevy Del Ray. He won many car shows with her (Betsy).
Gary is survived by his sons Jeff (Jeanette) and Rick, both of Hayden, Idaho; his ex-wives: Susan Taylor of Boise, Idaho, and Johanne Haymond of Hayden; Idaho; his grandchildren and nieces, Leslie and Cyndi of Arkansas. He is predeceased by his parents and brother Corky.
He is also survived by his many and special friends: Scott & Lynda, Ray & Janey, Matt, and all his friends in the Phuddy Duddies Car Group. He appreciated and loved time spent at car shows and Paul Bunyans with them. And of course, his "boys" Rocky and Mocha, his doxies.
A casual Celebration of Life is planned from 3-4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at Hayden City Park, 8930 N. Government Way, Hayden,and then hopefully a Memorial ride to Paul Bunyans in his honor.
The family wishes to thank North Idaho Hospice for their constant, compassionate and loving care of Gary, and at his request, in lieu of flowers donations to their organization or family to cover medical expenses.
