Officers in fatal shooting are identified

SANDPOINT — The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the officers involved in the shooting death of Casey George Alarcon.
The officers were identified as Sandpoint Police Officer Jeremy Inman and Bonner County Sheriff’s deputies Aaron Walker and Tyler Jinright.
Inman has worked for Sandpoint Police for nearly four years. Walker and Jinright have been employed by the sheriff’s office for nearly six years and 19 months, respectively.
All three officers were placed on paid administrative leave.
“They are currently still off (duty) pending the investigation,” Kootenai County Sheriff’s Lt. Stu Miller said on Thursday.
The shooting occurred on the afternoon of Aug. 11 at 1016 Ruth Ave.
