She was baptized by immersion in 1940 at the Full Gospel Church in Cochrane. As a May 1942 graduate from Cochrane High School; she joined the class of '42 Alumni many years for the annual reunions. The Eikamp family later moved to California, and she met her future husband, George France, a Motor Machinist in the U.S. Navy. The Eikamp family moved back to Wisconsin. On May 20, 1947, they were married in Cochrane and moved to the U.S. Navy Base in Jacksonville, Fla., moving once again back to Wisconsin in January 1948.

They lived for more than 40 years in several locations in Southern California until the mid-1990s, moving across the country to Shepherdstown, W.Va.; and back again, arriving in Post Falls, and Lifeway Chapel.

Lew will be remembered as a soldier in the Army of God. Together with her husband, George, they were a valuable team; prayer warriors at many churches in California, West Virginia and Idaho. In California, they often were at the hospital visiting and praying for the sick before the Pastor would arrive. She had a heart for serving others, touching many lives in various activities over the years including Camp Fire Girls, teaching Sunday School, Women's Ministries, Keenagers and other Seniors group activities; had recently made quilts for the Fire Department and Life Care in Post Falls.
