The Libby Senior Center has a full calendar of events and a tasty menu ready for patrons in September. Dinners at the Senior Center are served Tuesdays and Fridays at 5 p.m., lunches are served Wednesdays from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 1: Country fried steak, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dinner rolls, salad and brownies for dessert.
Wednesday, Sept. 2: Polish sausage, sauerkraut, chili, salad and cookies.
Friday, Sept. 4: Beef Stroganoff, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dinner rolls, salad and dessert.
Tuesday, Sept. 8: Oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetables, biscuits, salad bar and cake and ice cream for dessert.
Wednesday, Sept. 9: Patty melt sandwiches, tomato soup, salad and cookies.
Friday, Sept. 11: Beef tips with noodles, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dinner rolls, salad bar and dessert.
Tuesday, Sept. 15: Sweet and sour chicken, rice, vegetables, dinner rolls, salad bar and cinnamon rolls.
Wednesday, Sept. 16: Pizza, vegetable soup, salad and cookies.
Friday, Sept. 18: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dinner rolls, salad bar and dessert.
Tuesday, Sept. 22: Ham, scalloped potatoes, vegetables, corn bread, salad bar and lemon bars for dessert.
Wednesday, Sept. 23: Ham salad sandwiches, corn chowder, salad and cookies.
Friday, Sept. 25: Spaghetti, garlic bread, vegetables, salad bar and dessert.
Tuesday, Sept. 29: Pork roast, mashed potatoes, vegetables, corn bread, salad bar and apple pie for dessert.
Wednesday, Sept. 30: Brunch will be biscuits and gravy, bacon, scrambled eggs, salad and cookies.
The card players come in every Wednesday for a variety of card games. Thursday is cribbage from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Friday evening fun features pinochle at 7 p.m. every Friday.
The foot care and blood pressure class will be from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Patrons needing home delivery of meals are asked to order dinner before noon on Tuesdays and Fridays and lunch before 9 a.m. on Wednesdays.

Cuffe declares candidacy for District Court
The race to replace Judge Jim Wheelis in Montana’s 19th Judicial District Court has officially begun. Attorney Matthew J. Cuffe, a Libby native and partner in the Missoula firm of Worden Thane, has declared his intent to seek the post after the anticipated retirement of Wheelis at the end of his term in 2016.

Clinic shows off new look, services at open house
The Northwest Community Health Center in Libby has undergone a dramatic transition in recent months. The clinic recently added more than 10,000 square feet of usable space, including a new pharmacy, which is scheduled to open during the next few months.
