PLUMMER - Lakeside committed three turnovers and allowed more than 400 yards rushing, in the Knights' season-opening nonleague loss to Lewis County.

"We have a pretty young squad this year," Chris Dohrman said. "We showed that this evening. We did some good things, but we definitely showed our youth today. Lewis County was able to run the ball on us and that was the difference in the game. We gave up three scoring opportunities (on offense), when we dropped some passes. But it was a good learning experience."

Lakeside had three turnovers in the game.
