Mickaella Andrus, 19, of Post Falls, was called to serve in the Fukuoka, Japan, mission for 18 months. Her parents are Valerie and Dan Andrus of Post Falls. She will arrive at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, on Sept. 2, where she will spend nine weeks learning the Japanese Language and culture, then fly to the southernmost part of Japan which is an island area with a tropical climate.
Mickaella is a 2014 graduate of Post Falls High School. She has been attending Brigham Young University-Idaho and currently works as a nanny. The Andrus family has hosted many Japanese Exchange Students over the years, so she is especially excited to serve the people of Japan.
Hannah Seurynck, 19, of Coeur d'Alene, was recently called to serve an 18-month mission to the Philippines Quezon City Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is the daughter of Adele and David Seurynck of Coeur d'Alene. Hannah will enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, on Sept. 2. She will spend the next six weeks learning the Tagalog language and Philippine culture before flying out to the Islands.
A 2014 graduate of Lake City High School, Hannah has been attending college at Brigham Young University-Hawaii and working at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Oahu, Hawaii.
