Senior Center offers meals, entertainment during December

The Libby Senior Center has a wealth of dining and entertainment options on the December calendar.

Lunch is served every Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Dinner is served Tuesday and Friday at 5 p.m. The salad bar is open Tuesday and Friday at 4:30 p.m. Patrons needing delivery service are asked to place orders for lunch prior to 9 a.m. on Wednesday and before noon on Tuesday and Friday.

The senior center is open to all ages and everyone is welcome to enjoy the meals and company provided. For more information about meals and activities, or to order home delivery, patrons are asked to call 293-7222.

The center is open for card players every Wednesday afternoon. A variety of different games are available to patrons. Cribbage takes center stage every Thursday, with games open from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Pinochle is the order of the day on Friday, with games starting at 7 p.m. The week ends with bingo every Saturday at 7 p.m, although there will be no bingo Saturday, Dec. 19.

The center is reserved for a special event Monday, Dec. 7. The conference room is reserved at 3 p.m. Dec. 4 and a board meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. Dec. 10. The foot care and blood pressure clinic is set for Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. until noon.

The center will be closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, in recognition of Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

Tuesday, Dec. 1: Dinner of beef tips, mashed potatoes, noodles, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar and applesauce cake.

Wednesday, Dec. 2: Lunch of ham and cheese sandwich, corn chowder, salad and cookies.

Friday, Dec. 4: Dinner of lasagna, garlic break, vegetable, salad bar and dessert.

Tuesday, Dec. 8: Dinner of oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetable, biscuits, salad bar and cake and ice cream.

Wednesday, Dec. 9: Lunch of taco bar, cheesy broccoli soup, salad and cookies.

Friday, Dec. 11: Dinner of pork roast, mashed potatoes, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar and dessert.

Tuesday, Dec. 15: Dinner of hamburger steak with gravy, noodles, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar and cinnamon rolls.

Wednesday, Dec. 16: Lunch of chicken salad sandwich, potato soup, salad and cookies.

Friday, Dec. 18: Dinner of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar and dessert.

Tuesday, Dec. 22: Dinner of country friend steak, mashed potatoes, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar and chocolate pie.

Wednesday, Dec. 23: Lunch of pork sandwich, cream of asparagus soup, salad and cookies.

Tuesday, Dec. 29: Dinner of Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar and brownies.

Wednesday, Dec. 30: Brunch of biscuits and gravy, bacon, scrambled eggs, salad and muffins.
