Anna Stene is no longer the director of the Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce. Stene resigned from the post earlier this month.

“It was a positive and professional separation,” Stene said.

She’d been the director of the chamber since June, taking over the part-time post from longtime director Carol Pike, who retired last spring.

Stene said she plans on looking for another job, while developing a side business with partner Jessica Parker, “Hero of the House” which empowers women with the tools to make basic home repairs.

Stene said she will continue to sit on the Columbia Falls City-County Planning Board and the Columbia Falls Aluminum Co. liaison panel.

Stacey Schnebel will be the interim director and president of the chamber. A search for a replacement will get underway after the new year, said vice president Mark Johnson.
