Refresh your face

Many people flock to spas to receive facial treatments for a purely cathartic experience. Medical grade facials (or what we call “clinical facials”) can provide the same relaxing experience with a more beneficial treatment, resulting in smoother, healthier skin. This is because clinical facials approach skin care from a health/medical perspective. Clinical facials can only be performed in medical offices, or med-spas where there is an overseeing physician called a medical director. Because these facilities have a medical director, they get access to medical-grade products, which typically have more potent ingredients and are better at treating common skin issues.
When receiving any facial treatment, it’s important for the aesthetician to do a full facial assessment every time they see you. This allows them to address areas of concern and ensure they’re using appropriate products for an experience customized to your face and your needs. They should also consult with you about your goals. As with most things, once is not enough. Healthy skin is reached through a series of treatments, including good home care using quality medical grade-products.
Our clinical facial starts with a cleansing and toning of the skin. This is followed by a mask and hot towel treatment for a gentle exfoliation. Then your face gets a soothing steam bath to open your pores, followed with medical-grade skin care products targeted toward your specific skin type. We always apply a moisturizer and sunscreen and finish with a soothing facial massage.
