Emergency responders began moving toward Arlee's "old church" area at about 3:30 this afternoon after a called notified dispatch that they heard shots fired in the area.

Arlee schools are on shut down.

Another caller reported a maroon SUV is carrying a man with a rifle currently.

But 45 minutes later, emergency responders and Sheriff's officials were able to debunk the sounds. Hunters in the area making noise appear to be the cause for alarm.

Lake County Sheriff Don Bell said everything is fine and that the situation is completely resolved.
