THOMPSON FALLS – The Thompson Falls Chamber of Commerce is kicking off the holiday season this week as local businesses come together to provide a weekend full of events.

The events will come together Saturday. The festivities will feature bazaars, a concert, food and drink. The chamber will also be hosting the gingerbread and ugly sweater contest through the old jail museum. Entries must be dropped off at the museum from 10 to noon; according to information from the chamber, this year’s theme is “Christmas Dreams: Candy Canes and Sugar Plums.”

Viewing of the entries will take place from noon until 6 pm at the museum.

The Christmas parade on main street will begin at 6:30 pm. The parade will feature floats from many of the Chamber of Commerce’s member businesses, the high school band and members of the community.

There will also be a holiday concert at 7:15 pm in the Rex Theater. The concert will be free of charge.
