A man is facing a felony charge for a Nov. 18 crash on Montana 35 that left him and another driver injured.

Christopher Robert Parker was charged with felony negligent vehicular assault on Wednesday.

Court documents claim that Parker was driving a southbound Honda Acura that drifted into the northbound lane and struck an oncoming Ford Escort.

A Montana Highway Patrol trooper noted that there were no brake marks from Parker’s vehicle, but there were brake marks from the Ford Escort that had been smashed off the road.

Emergency crews had to cut the Escort’s driver from the vehicle. She was transported to the hospital with a torn spleen, rib fractures and a bruised liver.

Parker was also injured and transported to the hospital.

Parker told the trooper that he had been test driving the vehicle and that he had taken a couple of sips of alcohol prior to the crash.

Parker also said he took prescription medication.

A blood test determined that Parker had two prescription drugs and tetrahydrocannabinol, the active ingredient in marijuana, in his blood at the time of the crash.
