High-speed chase ends in man's arrest

SANDPOINT — A Montana man was arrested following a high-speed chase on U.S. Highway 2 through Priest River on Friday.
Henry Paul Mottsman is charged with felony eluding, in addition to misdemeanor counts of reckless driving, leaving the scene of a crash and resisting arrest. Judge Debra Heise set Mottsman’s bail at $60,000 during an initial appearance in Bonner County Magistrate Court on Monday via video feed from the county jail.
A public defender was appointed to represent Mottsman.
