COEUR d’ALENE — Two people were charged with misdemeanor citations Tuesday for allegedly shooting a grizzly bear in the Coeur d’Alene River drainage this fall.

According to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, there are two defendants in the case, an adult and a juvenile, but their names were not released because both cases have been sealed by a judge.

The Shoshone County Clerk’s office confirmed Tuesday a judge had signed an order to seal the case Tuesday afternoon.

According to the clerk’s office, a special prosecutor was assigned to the case. Attorney Mariah Dunham, of St. Maries, prosecuted the case but did not return phone calls or emails on Tuesday.
