GEORGE — An Oroville man was injured near here late on Nov. 24 when the vehicle he was driving hit a snow drift and rolled several times.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred at about 11 p.m. The car crashed about seven miles west of George on Interstate 90.

Neither drugs nor alcohol was a contributing factor, the WSP reported.

According to the WSP, William F. Burman, 63, was driving a 1999 Jeep Cherokee. He was transported by hospital to Quincy Valley Medical Center, and the Cherokee was removed by T and J Towing.

Burman was eastbound on I-90 when the crash occurred. At mile post 142, the Cherokee ran into snow that had blown onto the roadway.

Burman lost control of his vehicle, and if rolled several times. The cause of the rollover was excessive speed, the WSP said. Burnam was cited for “speed too fast for condition.”
