Glacier High School finished first and Flathead High School second on Saturday in the Electric City Invitational speech and debate meet in Great Falls.

Glacier amassed 162.5 points and Flathead 151.5 in the 16-team meet that included all 14 Class AA schools. Bozeman was third with 150.

The Wolfpack was led by six individual champions: Adam Habel in Memorized Public Address, Aaron Robinson in Original Oratory, Anika Fritz in Expository, Dylan Crandell in Impromptu, Kyersten Siebenaler in Legislative Debate and Izy Lyon in Novice Lincoln-Douglas Debate.

Flathead was paced by the team of Parker Kouns Wyatt Dykhuizen, who took first place in Duo Interpretation.

It was the fourth straight tournament sweepstakes win for Glacier.

“Bozeman and Flathead had great tournaments, and we simply came through in the final rounds,” Glacier head coach Greg Adkins said. “The most encouraging sign is that we keep having different kids step up and contribute.”
