THOMPSON FALLS – The Bluehawks came short of victory after a close game last Saturday, when they travelled to Big Timber for a game against the Sheepherders.

The Thompson Falls boys came back with a final score of 57-62 to Big Timber. The game started with both teams on even footing; ending the quarter with both teams holding 18 points. The second quarter saw another close performance, though the Sheepherders came out ahead with a score of 27-29.

When the second half began, Thompson Falls took the lead as they pushed past the other team’s defense. They came out on top with a score of 49-48. In the final quarter, though, the Big Timber players laid on their defense and kept Thompson Falls from scoring points; they were able to keep the Bluehawks to eight points while gaining 19 of their own.

Trais Hoisington led the Bluehawks, making 19 of their baskets. Joe Frields was also a leader with 12 points.
