THOMPSON FALLS – The Bluehawks took a defeat in their game against the Shelby Coyotes, Friday, during their first away game of the season.

The final score was close, closing at 60-66 to Shelby. The Coyotes came out to a lead early in the game, closing the first period with a score of 17-24. The second half was much closer, with both teams gaining 11 points, though the early advantage meant Shelby was still ahead. The first half closed with a score of 28-35.

In the third quarter Shelby pulled back ahead, though the Bluehawks were able to keep close and prevent them from getting too far ahead. For the final quarter, Thompson Falls broke through Shelby’s defense, gaining 20 points to beat the opposition’s 14.

Joe Fields led the team, gaining 20 points for Thompson Falls. Trais Hoisington was just behind him with 17 points.
