Two deputies injured while apprehending woman today

An uncooperative woman injured two Sheriff’s deputies after she attempted to ram their vehicles in Finley Point at about 5 a.m. today.
Authorities believe the woman, later identified as Valerie Larae Calfbossribs, 26 tried to ram some deputies’ vehicles while trying to escape a confrontation at about 5 a.m. this morning after they responded to a call of a strange vehicle in the area with a woman outside the vehicle screaming and causing a disturbance, Don Bell, Lake County Sheriff said in a press release.
“The suspect vehicle was pinned by a Lake County Sheriff’s Office vehicle into a retaining wall and the driver was taken into custody,” Bell said. “The suspect female bit one deputy and another was injured while gaining access to her vehicle.”
Both deputies reported minor injuries.
The arrest did not injure the female suspect, he said.
The ramming incident occurred when deputy vehicles attempted to initiate a traffic stop.
The suspect was not injured as a result of the arrest, but It is believed that she may be under the influence of methamphetamine or possibly bath salts, and she has been hospitalized as a result. Investigation continues.
Calfbossribs was charged with felony assault on a peace officer and is in custody at the Lake County Detention Center in Polson.
