SANDPOINT — A Bonner County woman charged in connection with the heat-exposure death of her child pleaded guilty Friday to felony injury to a child.

Samantha Renee Lewis entered the plea during a pretrial conference in 1st District Court. Judge Barbara Buchanan accepted the plea as being entered knowingly and voluntarily and set a sentencing hearing for March 11.

Felony injury to a child is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, although the state has agreed to limit its sentence recommendation to 30 days of incarceration at the Bonner County Jail and three years of supervised probation, court records show.
