SAGLE — An online fundraising campaign is being conducted for a Sagle man who lost his residence and all of his possessions in a structure fire last week.

Friends of Jimmy Zimmerman, a ski instructor at Schweitzer Mountain Resort, established the campaign at the crowdfunding website GoFundMe (www.gofundme.com/jimmyz). It seeks to raise $10,000.

The fundraiser was posted on Saturday and has since raised $2,758 from 24 donors.

The fundraiser post said Zimmerman had returned home from work on Friday, put a log in his woodstove and went outside to blow snow from his driveway. The home erupted in flames shortly thereafter.
