Whitefish 285-pound senior Steven Quimby took home an individual championship to lead the Bulldogs at the Buzz Lucey Memorial wrestling tournament Saturday in Eureka.

Quimby pinned Eureka’s Kaelan Yanak in 1:45 to secure the title. He won by fall over Columbia Falls’ Kyler Koski in the semifinals.

Quimby’s 26 points helped lift Whitefish to a fourth place tournament finish with 108 team points. Eureka won their home tourney with 217 points.

Whitefish 170-pound senior Konrad Zinke and Dillon Thorsteinson at 126 pounds each made the championship round.

Zinke pinned Bigfork’s Matt Farrier in the semifinals, while Thorsteinson won by fall over Polson’s Shane Pierre to reach the championship.

James Buckley placed third at 138 pounds, pinning Flathead’s Kenyon Fretwell at 3:20. He won by a 15-3 decision over Flathead’s Finn Sullivan in the consolation semifinals.

Parker McWhirter placed fourth at 113 pounds. He pinned teammate Taisuke Matsuo in the consolation semifinals.
